Description
A Mon Seul Desir square tapestry
A Mon Seul Desir square tapestry is a detail of the best known of the six Lady and the Unicorn wall tapestries at the Cluny Museum. A Mon Seul Desir is generally translated as To My Only Love. This remarkable medieval tapestry is the only one in the series not illustrating one of the senses and also the only one where the lady smiles. She is placing a necklace into a chest held by her maid and a small dog sits beside her.
This unicorn tapestry is now woven in France in 80% cotton and 20% viscose and it is lined with a rod pocket for easy hanging.
