Classical wall tapestries
The Diana tapestry shows a classical scene originally woven in France and is now woven in Belgium. It is typical of the Gobelins classical wall tapestries woven at Oudenaarde in Flanders. One can see similarities to the tapestries of Francois Boucher.
The Belgian tapestry weaver uses a thick 60% cotton, 32% wool and 8% polyester yarn that is tightly woven resulting in a rich full appearance yet with good detailing. The tapestry is lined, with a rod pocket – we enclose instructions to hang a tapestry with your order.
