Tapestry Description

Honour the Women tapestry

Morris & Co tapestries – Marianne Stokes

Honour the Women tapestry was designed by Marianne Stokes in 1912 from a 1796 poem called Women’s Worth and woven in 1912 by Morris & Co at their workshops at Merton Abbey. Now at the Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester.

This Arts and crafts tapestry is woven in France in 100% cotton and is lined, with a rod pocket for easy wall-hanging. With every order we supply instructions about hanging tapestries, and about their care.
