Tapestry Description

Knights of the Round Table tapestry

San Graal tapestries

The Knights of the Round Table tapestry is one of the six ‘Holy Grail’ panels commissioned for a baronial dining room in the early 1890s. Its full title is knights of the Round Table Summoned to the Quest tapestry by the Strange Damsel. These San Graal tapestries were designed by Sir Edward Burne-Jones and woven by Morris & Co at their workshops at Merton Abbey. The original is at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.

This Burne-Jones tapestry is now woven in France in a rayon, acrylic, viscose blend and is lined, with a rod pocket for easy hanging. We enclose hanging suggestions with every order. Please note: the largest size is non-returnable.
