Tapestry Description

Verdure Cascade right

The Verdure Cascade right tapestry is one side of an 18th century verdure tapestry, with the addition of medallions at the top and bottom. It shows a tree overhanging a stream with a town in the background and it matches the Verdure Cascade left tapestry, making a pair of vertical tapestries. The original was woven in Lille in the early 18th century and today it is woven in France in a fine 50% wool and 50% cotton weave. The tapestry is lined, with a rod pocket for easy hanging. We also have the matching side and the full square tapestry scene.
