Tapestry Description

Woolworkers tapestry

Medieval mille fleurs tapestries

The Woolworkers tapestry is a typical 15th century medieval mille fleurs tapestries scene woven in the Loire Valley, inspired by riverbank flowers. Here we see woolworkers shearing and carding in this pastoral tapestry.

This tapestry wall-hanging is woven in France today in two sizes, and is available with or without the dark blue border. It is fully lined with a rod pocket for easy hanging. (Note: the background is a dark blue.)

Please note that the above image shows the larger size – the background being a dark blue. The smaller size has a slightly lighter colour.
