Belgian verdure tapestries
The Aristoloches wall tapestry shows animals and birds within an aristoloche vine in a wood. Aristolochia has over 500 species, often with large leaves such as in this simple scene. William Morris occasionally used their swirling leaves in his designs.
Two of these Belgian verdure tapestries are available: see also the Aristoloches tapestry with border. Both are woven in 79% cotton, 11% viscose and 10% polyester: a rich full weave with good detailing qualities. They are fully lined, having a rod pocket for easy wall-hanging. We supply instructions for the care and hanging of tapestries with each order.
