The Bacchus tapestry is one of our Charles le Brun tapestries, from a four seasons series. This autumnal representation was woven at the Gobelins Manufactory, Paris in 1710. Note the double L cipher of Louis XIV on each side panel.
Today it is woven in France in 75% acrylic and it is lined, with a rod pocket for easy hanging.
