Tapestry Description

Blue Dancers Degas tapestry

Ballet dancing tapestries

The Blue Dancers Degas tapestry is from Edgar Degas’ original 1898-99 pastel which is now in the Pushkin Museum of Fine Art, Moscow. There are several ballet dancing tapestries, this one is woven in Belgium in a thick yet tightly woven weave of 65% cotton, 15% acrylic, 8% polyester, 7% wool and 6% mercurise. This results in a rich full look with good detailing. From our Impressionist selection, it is lined, with a rod pocket. We supply instructions for the easy hanging of a tapestry with every order.
