Tapestry Description

Femme et Oiseau dans la Nuit

Woman and Bird in the Night – Joan Miro

The Femme et Oiseau dans la Nuit tapestry, also known as Woman and Bird in the Night, was painted in 1945 by the Spanish Surrealist painter Joan Miro (1893 – 1983). It is woven in 74% cotton, 18% wool and 8% polyester. See further 20th century tapestries.

Our Miro tapestries are finely woven in France, by Jules Pansu, reproducing the original paintings. The original colours and brushstrokes are carefully replicated by the weavers under license to reproduce these pieces of modern art. Each tapestry is lined and has a rod pocket for wall-hanging – we supply instructions for the easy hanging of tapestries with every order. The image below has a grey shadow whereas the tapestry is actually white.

Please note that this art tapestry is non-returnable.
