Vermeer tapestry wallhanging

The wonderful Girl with the Pearl Earring tapestry is from an oil painting of about 1665 by Johannes Vermeer (1632-75), In 1881 it was purchased for just two guilders but now, restored, it is displayed at the Mauritshuis at The Hague. Although it is the girl’s face and gaze that catches our eye we also note the very large pearl earing.

This Vermeer tapestry wallhanging is woven in 82% cotton, 12% polyester and 6% mercurise. It is fully lined, having a rod pocket for hanging (we enclose instructions for hanging tapestries with each order).
