Tapestry Description

Giverny Pond tapestry

Claude Monet’s gardens tapestries

The Giverny Pond tapestry illustrates Claude Monet’s gardens tapestries at Giverny, his Normandy home. This Impressionist-style tapestry is reproduced from a painting by Bob Pejman who created the designs of many of our Mediterranean tapestries. Pejman wrote “In my painting of Giverny, I aimed to render a painting that had a romantic and idyllic quality … to create a peaceful and magical place where you dreamed to be”. A square tapestry is also available of this scene.

Giverny Pond tapestry is woven in Belgium in three sizes in 64% cotton, 19% acrylic, 9% wool and 8% polyester. It is lined with a rod pocket for hanging (we supply instructions for the easy hanging of tapestries with every order).

Jodie in Charlottesville, Virginia wrote this about the Giverny Pond tapestry: “Today the tapestry was delivered and it is truly beautiful! Thank you for all you did to get it to me. I am delighted to have this tapestry and will send you a photograph of it hanging in my bedroom within the next few days. Thanks for the instructions for hanging and care that you included. It has been a pleasure to do business with you!
