Klimt Virgin tapestry

The Maiden Art Nouveau wall-hanging

The Klimt Virgin tapestry, also called The Maiden, is an Art Nouveau tapestry woven. It is from Gustav Klimt’s 1913 symbolic painting now at the National Gallery in Prague showing six intertwined women evolving through the stages of life. This version is a richly woven Belgian tapestry woven in 42% wool, 31% cotton, 15% trevira, 8% acrylic, 4% lurex. It is lined and has a rod pocket for easy wall-hanging.
