Nine Worthies wall tapestries
La Manta Lady tapestry refers to this lady in her fine early 15th century dress. She is one of the figures in the La Manta tapestries, sometimes called the Nine Worthies wall tapestries. These are from a fresco series painted in 1420 by the Master of Manta in Manta Castle in Italy.
The tapestry border frames this so well, all woven in France in 93% viscose, 5% polyester and 2% polyamide. It is lined and has a rod pocket – we supply instructions for hanging tapestries with each order. We have other versions available of La Manta tapestry having different numbers of figures.
