Tapestry Description

Lady with an Ermine

Lady with an Ermine was painted by Leonardo da Vinci in about 1490. The young lady is 16 year old Cecilia Gallerani, mistress of his patron, the Duke of Milan. It is now at Wawel Castle, Poland.

The Lady with an Ermine tapestry wallhanging is woven today in France (as is the Mona Lisa tapestry) in 73% cotton, 14% acrylic, 6% nylon, 5% polyester and  2% viscose. It is lined with a rod pocket (we enclose instructions for hanging tapestries with each order).
