Lion II – Darius tapestry
Lion II – Darius tapestry – this is from the decoration of the palace of Darius in Babylon. Its wall were covered in glazed mud bricks representing processions of animals, the lion of the goddess Ishtar and the bull of the weather god Adad. This Belgian tapestry is in our ancient art tapestries selection being woven in 79% cotton, 8% polyester, 6% wool and 6% acrylic, and it is lined, with a rod pocket for easy hanging.
