L’Odorat tapestry wall-hanging is taken from one of the Lady and the Unicorn wall tapestries series celebrating smell. Each of these medieval tapestries depicts one of the senses, plus the somewhat enigmatic A Mon Seul Desir. Here we see the lady taking a sweetmeat from her maid while a parakeet in her left hand takes some from her. At her feet a monkey grabs falling fragments. On either side of them stand the lion and unicorn in the livery of le Viste family.
This fine tapestry is woven in France in 95% cotton and 5% polyester and is fully lined with a rod pocket for easy hanging. We supply instructions about how to hang a tapestry with each order.
