The Madonna and Child tapestry reproduces a sculpture by Michelangelo carved in 1501 for an altar in Siena Cathedral though it was soon sold and donated to the Church of Our Lady in Bruges. This Belgian tapestry with sepia-like colours is woven in 83% cotton, 9% polyester and 8% wool. It is fully lined, with a rod pocket for easy wall-hanging.
