Tapestry Description

Marché au Vin tapestry

Wine Market medieval wall-hanging

The Marché au Vin tapestry is the Wine Market medieval wall-hanging at the wonderful Cluny Museum in Paris. It shows farmers selling their grapes at a market outside the local town. It matches the Vintage tapestry featuring the harvesting and pressing at the grape harvest, the vendange. Both these tapestries are woven today in France in 80% cotton and 20% viscose, lined with a rod pocket for easy hanging (we supply instructions for this with each order).

You can order this French tapestry in this unbordered format or with a border as described on the page illustrating this Wine Market tapestry.
