Tapestry Description

Mucha Evening Contemplation tapestry

Art Nouveau

The Alphonse Mucha Evening Contemplation tapestry, also called Reverie du Soir tapestry, is from Mucha’s Times of the Day colour lithographs of 1899. This Art Nouveau tapestry showing a lady relaxing is a Belgian wall tapestry of glorious quality and character.  (My wife and I even have these in our bathroom).

These Alphonse Mucha wall tapestries are a series of four which make a wonderful grouping full of character. They are woven in Belgium in a thick yet tight weave of 91% cotton, 9% polyester and lined, with a rod pocket. We supply information about the hanging and care of tapestries with every order.
