Mucha Morning Awakening tapestry
Art Nouveau tapestries
The Alphonse Mucha Morning Awakening tapestry, also called Eveil du Matin tapestry, is from Mucha’s Times of the Day colour lithographs of 1899. These Art Nouveau tapestries commence with the morning scene of a lady awakening. It is a Belgian wall tapestry of glorious quality and character (my wife and I even have them in our bathroom, see below).
These Alphonse Mucha wallhangings are woven in Belgium in a thick yet tight weave of 91% cotton, 9% polyester and lined, with a rod pocket for easy wall-hanging. We supply instructions for the care and hanging of tapestries with each order.
Below the Alphonse Mucha Eveil du Matin tapestry hangs in a San Francisco home.
