Tapestry Description

Orbis Terrae map tapestry

World maps wall tapestries

The Orbis Terrae map tapestry is the finest quality of our world maps wall tapestries. It was originally engraved in 1596 by Jan Baptist Vrients and is now extremely rare. However it is available richly woven in Belgium in 41% wool, 40% cotton and 19% trevira in three sizes. It is a fascinating map having additional interesting scenes of exploration in the borders around the double hemispheres.

Like all our world map tapestry wall-hangings, this is fully lined, with a rod pocket for easy hanging – we supply hanging suggestions with each order. Please note that the largest size is non-returnable.
