Louis XIV battle wall tapestries

The Capture of Lille tapestry was originally woven at the royal Gobelins workshops in Paris, one of fourteen Louis XIV battle wall tapestries. It shows the king on his horse with his generals Vauban and Turenne about to receive the keys of the city in 1667 after a victory against the Spanish in the War of Devolution.

This Belgian tapestry is richly woven in 74% cotton and 26% trevira giving fine detailing . It is lined, with a rod pocket for easy hanging – we provide tapestry hanging information with each order. Please note that this tapestry is non-returnable.
