Tapestry Description

The Embarkment tapestry

Bayeux Tapestry reproduction

The Embarkment tapestry shows a Norman ship embarking to invade Saxon England, from the 11th century Bayeux Tapestry. This remarkable 22 feet long embroidery is now exhibited at the Musée de la Tapisserie de Bayeux in Normandy showing the events of 1066 when Duke William of Normandy defeated King Harold.

This French Bayeux Tapestry reproduction is woven today by Jules Pansu, in 95% cotton and is fully lined, with a rod pocket. We enclose instructions about how to hang a tapestry with your order.
