Tapestry Description
The Ladies of Camelot tapestry
Holy Grail tapestries by Burne-Jones
The Ladies of Camelot tapestry is the right half of The Departure of the Knights tapestry from the second of the Quest for the Holy Grail tapestries. They were designed by Sir Edward Burne-Jones in 1890 and woven by Morris & Co at Merton Abbey. William Morris and John Henry Dearle also designed elements. Originally called the San Graal tapestries, they are now on display at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.
These Holy Grail tapestries by Burne-Jones are woven by Jule Pansu in France in a top quality 95% cotton weave and are lined with a rod pocket. We supply instructions for the care and hanging of tapestries with each order. The background is a dark blue. Please note that the largest size is non-returnable.
The full Departure of the Knights tapestry and the matching left half (The Knights Tapestry) are also available as separate wall-hangings.
