Tapestry Description

The Norman Fleet tapestry

Bayeux Tapestry

The Norman Fleet tapestry shows five ships in Duke William’s invasion force from the Bayeux Tapestry, before the Battle of Hastings in 1066. Today this historic embroidery is exhibited at the Musée de la Tapisserie de Bayeux in Normandy.

We have several scenes from the Bayeux Tapestry woven today as French wall tapestries by Jules Pansu, including this tapestry in 95% cotton. It is fully lined, with a rod pocket for easy hanging – we supply instructions for hanging tapestries with each order..
