Tapestry Description

Vision of the Holy Grail Left Side – Limited Quantities!

Burne-Jones tapestry

The Vision of the Holy Grail – left tapestry was designed principally by Edward Burne-Jones and woven by Morris & Co at Merton Abbey in 1895-6. William Morris and John Henry Dearle also contributed to the design of the tapestry. Here we see a detail from The Attainment of the Knights Quest, also called The Attainment of the Holy Grail, or The Achievement of the Holy Grail.

The three knights are Sir Galahad, Sir Bors and Sir Percival. Now at the Birmingham City Museum. This Burne-Jones tapestry is now woven in France in a fine weave of rayon and acrylic and lined, with a rod pocket. We enclose tapestry hanging information with your order.
