Tapestry Description
Winged Bull tapestry
Ancient art wall tapestries
The Winged Bull tapestry is from the decoration of the palace of Darius which itself was inspired by that of King Nebuchadnezzar in Babylon. Its wall and processional route were covered in glazed mud bricks representing processions of animals, the lion of the goddess Ishtar and the bull of the weather god Adad. This Belgian wall hanging tapestry is from our ancient art wall tapestries selection. It is woven in 79% cotton, 8% polyester, 6% wool and 6% acrylic and is lined, with a rod pocket. We supply instructions for the easy hanging of tapestries with every order.
