Description
The Knights of Christ
Ghent Altarpiece tapestries
The Knights of Christ tapestry shows one of the three panels of The Ghent Altarpiece woven today as French wall tapestries. This is a lower panel which flanks the Adoration of the Mystic Lamb. This Flemish art masterpiece was probably painted by Jan van Eyck in about 1430.
There are three Ghent Altarpiece tapestries portions available;: see also the central panel and The Just Judges. This one has the border (larger size only) or without the border (smaller size only). It is woven in France in 73% cotton, 14% acrylic, 6% nylon, 5% polyester and 2% viscose. It is lined, with a rod pocket (we enclose instructions for wall-hanging with each order).
