Description
Ghent Altarpiece
Adoration of the Mystic Lamb tapestry
The Ghent Altarpiece has three panels reproduced as French tapestry wall-hangings. Here we see the lower central panel, the Adoration of the Mystic Lamb. This Flemish masterpiece was probably painted by Jan van Eyck in about 1430. We also have tapestries of two of the flanking wings of the altarpiece.
The Ghent Altarpiece tapestry is woven in France in two sizes in 73% cotton, 14% acrylic, 6% nylon, 5% polyester and 2% viscose. It is lined, with a rod pocket for hanging (we enclose instructions for hanging tapestries with each order).
