The Morris Portiere, small, green and yellow tapestry wallhanging is woven in France in three sizes and two colour versions in a timeless William Morris design. This is the small green/yellow tapestry; there’s also a maroon/brown version. (A portiere is a slim tapestry which used to be hung on either side of doors in the French chateaux.) Better colouring can be seen on the medium size of this tapestry.
This is woven in a fine weave of 50% wool and 50% cotton and it is lined, with a rod pocket – we enclose suggestions about how to hang a tapestry with each order..
