The Papaver bordered tapestry is from a series of French botanical tapestries inspired by the much admired art of Pierre-Joseph Redoute (1759-1840) who painted over 2,000 botanical illustrations of over 1,800 plants. The tapestry is woven in France in 97% cotton and it is lined, with a rod pocket for easy hanging – we provide tapestry hanging information with each order.
It matches the Rosa Gallica bordered wall tapestry so they hang well together as a matching pair of tapestries. Both these are discontinued and so they are on sale.
