French botanical tapestries

The Papaver Somniferum tapestry is one of our French botanical tapestries inspired by the art of Pierre-Joseph Redoute (1759-1840) who painted over 2,000 botanical illustrations of over 1,800 plants. The tapestry is woven in France in 97% cotton and it is lined, with a rod pocket for easy hanging. We supply instructions for the care and hanging of tapestries with each order.

It matches the Rosa Gallica tapestry so they hang well together as a matching pair of tapestries. Both are discontinued and so are on sale!
