Description
The Draped Horse
The Draped Horse tapestry is from the series of eight 17th century wall tapestries, Tentures des Indes, woven at Les Gobelins in Paris. This one is a detail showing a horse at a riverbank – its matching half has a flamingo, and there is also a square tapestry combining these two halves. Today it is woven in France in a high quality 50% wool and 50% cotton weave which gives both fine detailing and full depth. This tapestry is lined, with a rod pocket for easy wall-hanging.
