Description
Trees and Birds tapestry – red
The Trees and Birds tapestry – red version shows details typical of late 15th century medieval tapestries. These were called Mille Fleurs tapestries (Thousand Flowers) with richly detailed backgrounds to trees, birds and animals. These flowers would include daisies, pansies, daffodils, marigolds, hyacinths, periwinkles, carnations and violets.
This French tapestry is woven in 80% cotton and 20% viscose, lined, with a rod pocket for easy hanging. It is also available with a dark blue background (ME243) or in cream (ME244).
