Trees and Birds tapestry – cream
This version of the Trees and Birds tapestry – cream contains details from typical late 15th century medieval tapestries. These Mille Fleurs tapestries were popular at the time, with the “thousand flowers” background to trees, birds and animals. Such flowers would include daisies, speedwell, pansies, marigolds, hyacinths, periwinkles, Solomon’s seals and violets.
This French mille fleurs tapestry wall-hanging is woven in 80% cotton and 20% viscose and it is lined, with a rod pocket for easy hanging. The tapestry is also available with a red background (ME242) or blue (ME243).
