Trees and Birds tapestry
Mille Fleurs medieval tapestries
This dark blue version of the Trees and Birds tapestry contains details from typical late 15th century tapestries. These Mille Fleurs medieval tapestries were popular at the time, with the “thousand flowers” background to trees, birds and animals. Such flowers would include daisies, speedwell, pansies, marigolds, hyacinths, periwinkles, Solomon’s seals and violets.
This French wall tapestry is woven in 80% cotton and 20% viscose and it is lined, with a rod pocket for easy hanging. It has a dark blue background set within a rust red border. The tapestry is also available with a red background (ME242) or in cream (ME244).
