Description
Flamingo tapestry
The Flamingo tapestry is a detail from one of the eight Tentures des Indes tapestries woven in the 17th century at Les Gobelins in Paris. This one shows a flamingo at a riverbank – its matching half has a horse, and there is also a square tapestry combining these two halves. It is woven in France in a fine 50% wool and 50% cotton weave which gives both fine detailing and full depth. This wall tapestry is lined, with a rod pocket for easy hanging.
