Description
van Gogh Almond Blossoms
French wall tapestry hanging
This van Gogh Almond Blossoms tapestry is from the series of paintings by Vincent van Gogh between 1888 and 1890 when he lived at Saint-Remy and Arles. Trees in blossoms represented hope and new awakening to him during his depression. We can see the influence of Japanese woodblocks – he described Arles as “the Japan of the south”.
Our French wall tapestry hanging is woven in 82% cotton and 12% acrylic in three sizes. It is fully lined, with a rod pocket (we enclose instructions for hanging tapestries with each order). It has proved to be one of our most popular art tapestries.
