Description
Vase with Twelve Sunflowers
Vase with Twelve Sunflowers – this Van Gogh tapestry is taken from his still life oil painting “Twelve Sunflowers in a Vase” (36″x28″) which was painted at Arles in August 1888 and is now in a Munich museum. It is the third version he painted (another version sold for $39 million in 1987 – our tapestry is slightly less expensive!).
The tapestry is woven in France in a cotton/viscose blend and is lined, with a rod pocket for ease of wall-hanging. Today it’s pleasing to note that many Vincent Van Gogh tapestries are available.
