Charles le Brun wall tapestries
The Chateau Bellevue tapestry is one of the twelve Charles le Brun wall tapestries of Louis XIV palaces called Les Tentures des Maisons Royales. They were commissioned in 1670, each set to a month of the year – the Chateau Bellevue being for August. It is woven today in France in several size formats in a fine 50% wool/ 50% cotton weave. This Louis XIV tapestry is lined, with a rod pocket for easy hanging – we provide tapestry hanging information with each order.. The largest size is non-returnable.
