Tapestry Description

Hearing tapestry

Lady with the Unicorn tapestries

This Hearing tapestry wall-hanging is the finest version available of this scene from the Lady with the Unicorn tapestries. The lady plays an organ placed on an oriental rug while her maid operates the bellows. Both are flanked by the lion and unicorn holding a banner and by trees and bushes. This is a high quality reproduction of the original Cluny Museum  tapestry.

This fine medieval tapestry is woven in France today by Jules Pansu. The smallest size includes 62% wool and 21% cotton in a tighter weave (seen above), the medium size includes 69% wool and 17% cotton and the largest size includes 68% wool and 21% cotton in a looser weave. It is fully lined, with a rod pocket for easy hanging. We enclose information about hanging tapestries with your order. Please note that this tapestry is non-returnable.

It matches other Lady and the Unicorn tapestries making stunning group settings possible, from the same weaver: Touch, Taste, A Mon Seul Desir.
