Medieval Lady with the Unicorn tapestries
The Taste tapestry is a Belgian tapestry finely reproducing one of the medieval Lady with the Unicorn tapestries. Here the lady is offered a dish of sweetmeats by her maid. As she takes them she is looking at a parakeet on her left hand while a monkey sits at her feet eating a dropped sweetmeat. The figures are framed by the lion and unicorn holding banners and by two pairs of trees.
Today this tapestry is woven in Belgium in a rich full weave of 81% cotton and 19% polyester. It is fully lined, with a rod pocket for easy wall-hanging. We supply instructions about how to hang a tapestry with every order. This tapestry has been discontinued and is on Final Sale and therefore non-returnable.
This medieval tapestry matches beautifully with the Touch and A Mon Seul Desir tapestries.
