The Maid with the Unicorn tapestry
The Maid with the Unicorn tapestry wallhanging is a detail from the medieval A Mon Seul Desir tapestry, part of the Lady with the Unicorn tapestries series at the Musée National de Moyen Âge in Paris. The maidservant offers a jewellery casket to her lady, watched by a unicorn holding a banner. It matches the Lady with a Dog tapestry. Both these French tapestries are woven in a fine quality 50% wool and 50% cotton weave and they are lined, with a rod pocket for easy hanging.
