Tapestry Description
Verdure Cascade left tapestry
Pair of wall tapestries
The Verdure Cascade left tapestry is one side of an 18th century verdure tapestry, with the addition of medallions at the top and bottom. It shows a tree overhanging a stream and it matches the Verdure Cascade right tapestry, making a fine pair of wall tapestries. Also available is the full square tapestry scene.
The original was woven in Lille in the early 18th century and today it is woven in France in a high quality 50% wool and 50% cotton weave which has great depth and fine detail. The tapestry is lined, with a rod pocket for easy hanging – we supply instructions for this with each order.
