Bayeux Tapestry Duke William’s Horses

Bayeux Tapestry Duke William’s Horses shows Duke William of Normandy and his Norman cavalry from the early medieval embroidery showing the invasion of Saxon England. Its scenes progress from the death of King Edward the Confessor through William the Conqueror’s invasion to the Battle of Hastings in 1066. Today the Bayeux Tapestry is on display at the Musée de la Tapisserie de Bayeux in Normandy.

Bayeux Tapestry Duke William’s Horses is woven in France in 100% cotton and it is lined with a rod pocket – we supply instructions for its easy hanging and care with every order. There is also a longer tapestry version of this scene.

Four weavers, in France and Belgium, weave details from this immense masterpiece. These three below from a French company have the same colouring tones and yarn composition, aiding their pairing.
