The Bouquet Portiere tapestry is one of a pair of late 18th century portiere wall hangings for the Hotel de Crillon, Paris, one of a pair of matching tapestries, combining nicely with the Statue Portiere tapestry. (A portiere is a slim tall wall hanging sometimes hung over a door or on either side of a doorway.)
Today this elegant tapestry is woven in France by a long-established weaver in 80% cotton and 20% viscose. It is fully lined, with a rod pocket for easy wall-hanging – we supply information about hanging tapestries with each order.
