The Minstrel
Morris and Co tapestry wallhangings
The Minstrel tapestry is one of our Morris and Co tapestry wallhangings, designed in 1899 to hang above a fireplace. Created three years after the death of William Morris and full of his influences. The tapestry shows a musician dressed in a long robe playing a lute in a garden alcove.
This French tapestry is woven in 80% cotton and 20% viscose and is lined, with a rod pocket for easy hanging.
Please note that the above image shows the larger size. Our smaller size has a slightly lighter colouring.
