Medieval Brussels wall tapestry

Emperor Charles V

Here is a magnificent version of the Medieval Brussels wall tapestry, one of the fine French tapestries from this long-established weaver. The original is in the Louvre, superbly reproduced here showing Emperor Charles V (1500 – 1558) surveying Brussels from his horse. The scene includes the ducal palace on the far left which burnt down in 1731.

The weave of this tapestry results in fine detailing: 70% viscose, 20% acrylic, 10% cotton except for the largest size which is 60% acrylic, 30% viscose and 10% wool. Both sizes are fully lined, with a rod pocket for easy hanging. Do note that the largest size is non-returnable.
