The Oasis tapestry shows a date palm and lush plants by a stream in the desert from the 17th century Tenture des Indes series of eight exotic tapestries. These now hang in the Council Chamber of the Magistral Palace in Valletta in Malta.
It is woven in France in a high quality 50% wool / 50% cotton weave which results in an ideal combination of fullness and depth yet with fine detailing. The tapestry is lined, with a rod pocket for easy hanging. Note that this wall tapestry is also available without the birds – quote ref RL129N.
